I’ve made two purchases from Best Buy online since COVID-19, which is a bit unusual because I normally order from Amazon. What I am even more surprised by is that I prefer Best Buy’s shipping because they use UPS. I find Amazon’s in-house delivery random and unpredictable where as UPS deliveries are part of a regular route by the same guy at nearly the same time. Further, they provide GPS tracking of the delivery truck so I can see where my package is in route to my house on the day of delivery, which enables me to be ready to receive the package so it isn’t waiting outdoors. I also get text messages of the delivery status. Amazon provides notices but no real tracking. Further, since Amazon delivery is random, packages can end up in all sorts of strange places. Amazon saves money, but I find their customer service has taken a hit in the process.
