A couple of weeks ago I wrote about why Microsoft was not able to produce the second best mobile operating system rather than Google.
Google does not self identify as a platform company and therefore they have no problem replacing old platforms with new platforms.
Some day Android and Chrome OS will go away, and that will most likely occur on Google’s terms and not anyone else, which is how it will maintain itself as the leading computer science company.
